Didn't I hear Director Robert Mueller crying all over the table in the Senate hearing room last week about how the FBI doesn't have the money to chase anybody but terrorists (and fn, yes I assume it is a violation of the Mann Act).BTW, I guess it is bad form to kidnap an NYT picture, but follow the link and take a look at the, um, person on the left, for a glimpse of the toughest job in politics, AKA "Stand By Your Man. Mann (1829), a case well known in its time (and now) for the stridency of the rhetoric with which Ruffin upholds the “power of the master,” is nowhere mentioned in the documentation surrounding the creation and dedication of the statue, that connection would have been inescapable to a white audience, which would have been largely sympathetic.
