INTRODUCTION UPDATE – Following up on our June 26, 2015 Special Bulletin, which outlined Assembly Bill 304, the proposed clean-up legislation for California’s Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014 (“Paid Sick Leave Law” or “AB 1522”), this urgency legislation passed the California Senate on July 13, 2015, with a vote of 39-0 and was signed into law by Governor Brown on the same day and is now effective.
