New York State has codified the doctrine of forum non conveniens as CPLR 327.* In Employees Retirement System for the City of Providence v Rohner, in which Credit Suisse Group AG, was named as a "Nominal Defendant", the Appellate Division opined  "There is no credible argument that a substantial nexus between this action and New York is lacking".
