Headline unemployment is now 9.9%, although, if you count those that want a job but have given up looking for one, those that have part-time jobs but want full-time work, and the number of people no longer appearing on the unemployment rolls because their benefits have run out, et al, you get a more meaningful picture of the unemployment rate in this country today.
