”[14] Prior to the enactment of the 2001 UCC revisions, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that a landlord’s lien extends to the proceeds.[15] This law has not come up for review, but it would appear to remain valid. [16] Enforcement Iowa law provides that a landlord’s lien may be enforced by filing a verified petition with the court clerk stating that the action is to recover rent accrued within the previous year.
