That wasn't delegated power.Now, it is correct to say that the Bush administration did use the so-called 287(g) authority, Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, to effectively deputize certain jurisdictions, more than 60 of them across the country, to give their law enforcement officers federal ICE powers, with if you will.And the Obama administration has radically scaled that back, by the way.
